We Play Here Nationwide Campus Tour Kicks off at UP Diliman

Warner Music Philippines, in partnership with KDR Music House and UP Ad Core, celebrated music diversity as they brought We Play Hereโ€™s first campus tour stop in Luzon at UP Diliman last August 23, 2024.

Starting the festivity is rising band Kahel, performing music covers of โ€œMiss Missโ€ by Rob Deniel, โ€œRaining in Manilaโ€ by Lola Amour, and their songs, โ€œDiwata,โ€ talking about seeking affection from an experienced lover and closes their set with โ€œBeh, Buti Ngaโ€ a song on redemption over a betrayal.

One of the eventโ€™s first-timers, Letters from June, charmed the crowd next with their rendition of trendy hits โ€œMaybe the Night,โ€ โ€œPatawad, Paalam,โ€ โ€œShining,โ€ and โ€œWag na Tayong Umuwi.โ€ They ended their set with their single, โ€œBituin,โ€ about giving your all in love but receiving none in return.

Meanwhile, the six-member band Sugarcane serenaded the audience with โ€œParuparoโ€ and โ€œKung Maging Akin Ka,โ€ with special guest Gian Bernardino for โ€œPagbigyan.โ€ At the earlier press conference, the group mentioned wanting to collaborate with Cup of Joe if given a chance.

Staying true to their self-identity is soloist Paul Pablo, who performed their songs โ€œAtin ang Gabi,โ€ Marahuyo Projectโ€™s track โ€œDi Inakala,โ€ and โ€œSagi,โ€ speaking about how it feels like to be in a โ€œsituationship.โ€

International headliner Griff took the stage on keys with an emotional take on her songs โ€œVertigoโ€ and โ€œMiss Me Too.โ€ The Chinese-Jamaican soloist tugged more heartstrings with her personal favorite โ€œAstronautโ€ and country pop rendition of her tracks โ€œAnythingโ€ and โ€œShade of Yellow.โ€ Raised in an isolated household that drove her to write songs, Griff continues to make waves in the music scene as a frequent front act for massive artists Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa. Griff is also opening for Sabrina Carpenterโ€™s Short nโ€™ Sweet US Tour starting this September 2024.

Next up is singer-songwriter Arthur Miguel, who delved into love and heartbreak with songs like โ€œGhinost,โ€ โ€œAng Wakas,โ€ โ€œMalabong Ugnayanโ€ with Jikamarie, โ€œLihimโ€ and โ€œMaling Panahon.โ€

Player Two kept it cool and took their hip-hop roots and swag to the stage. They also jammed with artists Oliver Cronin for โ€œThatโ€™s My Babyโ€ and FELIP for โ€œFlyyyโ€.

Still basking in their emerging success, We Play Hereโ€™s second-timer Dilaw wows the crowd by performing their hits โ€œMaskara,โ€ โ€œJanice,โ€ โ€œUhaw,โ€ and their latest synth-pop track โ€œNilalang.โ€

Wrapping up the fun and music-filled night is Warner Music PHโ€™s newest addition to the family and rising soloist, Stell. Shying away for the meantime from his group SB19โ€™s limelight, Stell enchanted the UP crowd and his fans with songs from his first EP, Room โ€“ โ€œDi Ko Masabi,โ€ โ€œAnino,โ€ โ€œRoom,โ€ and โ€œClassic.โ€

We canโ€™t wait to find out the next campus We Play Here is heading to next!
